Physical Therapy Services

Physical therapy is a treatment approach that is designed to restore, maintain and enhance optimal physical function and mobility. Each treatment progression is individualized to the patient and the condition from which they suffer. Physical therapy typically addresses: recovering from an existing injury, preventing the advancement of physical limitations, minimizing mobility restrictions, or resolving disabilities caused by accidents, sports, occupational related injuries, diseases or other conditions.

About Our Approach, Specialty Areas & Conditions We Treat

Our clinics provide comprehensive outpatient physical therapy. Our therapists’ advanced training in spine care and other orthopedic conditions serves to provide a conservative treatment approach that often allows the patient to choose self-management of their diagnosis in lieu of the need for surgery or other invasive approaches. One of our board-certified and licensed physical therapists will oversee your care.

Sports Conditioning

There Sports Conditioningis an old saying that “You need to get into shape to play sports, not play sports to get into shape”. We believe that there is a lot of wisdom in that statement. Without proper sports conditioning, sustaining a sports injury becomes more probable than possible. If you are considering actively participating in any type of sport, comptetitive or recreational, we encourage you to contact us today to learn about our sports conditioning programs.

Our sports conditioning professionals will have you complete some preliminary testing to determine your general fitness level, and then develop a sports conditioning program with exercises that provide improvements for areas that are of specific concern or important for your type of activity. Cardiovascular training is almost a universal concern as this allows your body to reasonably avoid the over exertion that can cause cardiac arrest, shortness of breath, dizziness and fainting. In addition we can work with you to improve strength of joints subject to sprains, muscles subject to tears or pulls, and related physical training and conditioning

Our sports conditioning programs can get you into better shape to minimize your chances of non-contact sports injuries and improve your strength, agility and cardiovascular performance. From recreational activities like jogging and bicycling to competitive sports including soccer, softball, baseball, football, lacrosse, hockey, basketball, handball, raquetball, tennis, golf, swimming, wrestling and other sports, we should be one of your first stops before you begin your physical endeavor.

About Your Physical Therapy

Customized Treatments

Every physical therapy patient has unique needs. Your physical therapist will utilize a standard process to gain an understanding of your particular situation, and then create a customized treatment program.

Treatment Begins With an evaluation by a licensed physical therapists to asses your condition. Your therapist may ask questions about your medical history, your injury or disability, and related items.

Next, the physical therapist will make measures and observations regarding the condition to be treated. The physical therapist will consider your condition, test results and goals to then present you with education regarding the anticipated treatment progression, frequency (number of sessions per week) and duration (total number of weeks).

Treatments may include modalities such as heat, ice, mild electrical stimulation, ultrasound, or massage to facilitate your healing. Your therapist can also instruct you on ways to minimize the chances of causing a recurring injury.

Our ultimate goal is to work with you to mitigate your injury or disability, and restore your body to its best possible condition. We welcome you to call us for more information and to discuss your needs for physical therapy services.
