Mark BuckinghamMark Buckingham,MSPT, received his undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University. Realizing his passion for quality patient care, he then went on to Kansas University Medical Center where he received his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002 with a concentration in sports and spine rehabilitation.

Mark completed his under graduate internship with the Chicago Bulls and has rehabilitated athletes from youth level to professional level. Over the years, Mark worked in a variety of out-patient physical therapy, but in 2006 Mark decided to make his dreams a reality opened Performance Rehab in Overland Park, Kansas.

Brian BoernerBrian Boerner, PT, has more than 15 years experience in the field of Physical Therapy. He earned his Bachelors degree in Human Biology from The University of Kansas in 1997, his Associates degree in Physical Therapy in 1999, and his Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2004 from the University of Kansas Medical Center.

He also works as a Personal Trainer for clients in the areas of health, wellness, and fitness. Brian is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Kansas Physical Therapy Association (KPTA). He is a strong advocate for the Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy sections of the APTA. He also serves as a Clinical Instructor for local PT and PTA schools and received the award for Clinical Instructor of the year for 2013 from KU Medical Center.

Brian joined Mark at Performance Rehab in March of 2008 and now proudly serves patients of the local community out of Performance Rehab’s 88th street location. His tenacity and ambition toward the field of Physical Therapy is complimented by his desire to help others.

Sue KleinSue Klein, PT, MTC, CFC, is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical Center with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. Sue earned a certification in manual therapy in 1991 and a certification in craniofacial therapy in 2012, both from The University of Saint Augustine. She is an adjunct faculty member at Rockhurst University, teaching spinal orthopedics and temporomandibular dysfunction in the graduate physical therapy program.

Sue joined Performance Rehab in 2009 as a consultant and her areas of interest include treating patients with spinal orthopedic problems and craniofacial pain and dysfunction. She has studied management of craniofacial pain with Mariano Rocabado through The University of Saint Augustine.

Kelly MeinerKelly Meiner, MPT, ATC, has been a team member of Performance Rehab since 2006. She graduated from Rockhurst University in 1997 with a bachelors degree in psychology. In 1999 she went on to get her Masters of Physical Therapy degree.

Kelly has worked as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer in Kansas City since 1999. Past experiences include head Physical Therapist for the Kansas City Ballet, Adjunct Professor at Park University and she specializes in orthopaedic and spine rehabilitation. Kelly’s hobbies include running, gardening and playing with her 3 children.

Jackie TurnerJackie Turner, DPT, CSCS, earned her Bachelors degree in Life Science from Kansas State University in 2006. She joined Performance Rehab after receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in May 2009 including internships around the country. Jackie is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and enjoys working with athletes of all ages. Her special interests include thoracic and rib dysfunctions along with lumbosacral movement disorders where she enjoys using her manual therapy skills and training.

Jackie grew up in Alma, Kansas where her family still lives and they enjoy spending time outdoors together kayaking, skiing and hiking. Her enthusiasm for an active lifestyle will help you move forward toward your own goals.

Willie YeunWillie Yuen, DPT, CSCS, joined the Performance Rehab team after receiving his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in May 2010. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico in 2005. He is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is also earned certification through the Sportsmetrics program of Cincinnati Sports Medicine for ACL injury prevention.

Willie’s personalized approach to physical therapy is drawn from his varied clinical internships throughout the country as well as his background as a former collegiate athlete and high school coach.

Trebor BesserTrebor Besser, DPT, received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in 2009. He then went on to receive his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2013. After graduation Trebor joined the Performance Rehab team.

Trebor’s approach to therapy comes from his experiences throughout his various clinicals, his time as a personal trainer, and his desire to help patients achieve their goals. He enjoys spending time with his wife Lindsey and staying physically active.

Paul CraigPaul Craig, DPT, CSCS, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Exercise and Health Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010 and went on to received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Rockhurst University in May 2014. He joined Performance Rehab in June 2014.

Paul’s approach to physical therapy treatment is drawn from the wide scope of clinical internships that he experienced as well as his internship with the University of Nebraska’s strength and conditioning program. He recently earned the title of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in order to further his knowledge of performance enhancement.

Kendra GageKendra Gage, DPT, OCS, received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007 from Washington University in Saint Louis. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Dance at The University of Kansas in 2003. Kendra relocated to the Kansas City area from Chicago in 2014 when she joined the Performance Rehab team.

Kendra is committed to lifelong learning in the field, earning an orthopedic certification specialty in 2011. She also completed an Orthopedic residency with Evidence in Motion in 2011. Past experiences include being one of the physical therapists for Joffrey Ballet Company, Hubbard Street Dance Company, River North Dance Company and many other professional dance companies in the Chicago area. She has traveled internationally and domestically with the dancers. She was also an adjunct faculty member with Roosevelt University as a dance anatomy professor.

Jacob StuhlsatzJacob Stuhlsatz, DPT, received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Gerontology from Kansas State University in 2010, and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rockhurst University in 2015. Jacob joined Performance Rehab in May 2015.

Jacob has clinical experience in a variety of settings as well as a background working in clinical orthopaedics while completing his undergraduate degrees at Kansas State. Jacob completed his Physical Therapy elective coursework in advanced treatments of the spine, where he learned various treatment techniques for back and neck pain. As a former athlete, Jacob particularly enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities as well as enhancing the health and fitness of all his patients.

Andrew DeBoestAndrew DeBoest, DPT, received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas in 2011. He then went on to receive his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Mary. Andrew was an intern for Performance Rehab in 2014, and following graduation he joined the Performance Rehab team at our Inside Sports location.

Andrew has used the experience of his clinical rotations to form his treatment approach. He focuses his treatment on restoration of function through effective manual techniques and specific exercise routines. Andrew enjoys staying active by playing soccer, tennis, and golf. His experience in a wide variety of sports will help you meet your therapeutic goals!

Jill Marlow KrutzkampJill Marlow Krutzkamp, Pilates and Wellness Director, Professional Dancer, has been dedicated to dance and the performing arts for over 27 years. Her formal dance training began at the Draper Center for Dance Education in Rochester, New York, at the age of 12. As a result, she spent time studying at the American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and at Indiana University. Jill spent 14 years dancing professionally, beginning her dance career with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She then spent nine years with the Cincinnati Ballet and recently retired from the Kansas City Ballet after completing her fourth season to pursue her passion for helping others with the development of their dancing careers.

Jill earned her degree in Health Education from the University of Cincinnati in 2011. To do so, she trained over 400 hours interning at Prehab Pilates & Physical Therapy in Cincinnati. Since, she has been a Pilates instructor for the Kansas City Ballet. Jill presides over a health-inspired blog, Dance Healthier, which promotes and inspires the integration of dance in living a healthier lifestyle.

Rachel Meran, Office Assistant, Yoga Teacher E-RYTRachel Meran, Office Assistant, Yoga Teacher E-RYT discovered yoga in her teens and has been practicing for over 15 years. Since receiving her 200 hour certification in 2011, she has taught over 1500 classes earning her the designation of Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Over the years she has had the privilege of teaching to most all populations and ability levels, allowing her to hone her skills of modification. Through this experience, she has seen first-hand that yoga is truly for everyone and can be adapted to almost any level. She has received certifications in prenatal yoga as well as PiYo(pilates/yoga fusion). Always a student, she has taken various workshops and trainings to learn and continually develop engaging more effective classes. In 2016 she began working as a coach on several teacher trainings and will be co-leading a training for new teachers in 2017. Rachel touts yoga as her biggest passion in life and feels extremely grateful to have stumbled onto it at such a young age. She finds immense fulfillment in helping people live more full lives by developing a mind body connection.

Aaron Fast, DPT received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas in 2010. He then went on to receive his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Mary. Aaron was an intern for Performance Rehab in 2014, and following graduation he spent a year working with patients experiencing chronic pain. He joined the Performance Rehab team at our 75th and Antioch location in July 2016.
He focuses his treatment on restoration of function through effective manual techniques and functional movement exercise. Aaron enjoys staying active by playing golf, guitar, and cycling. His experience in a wide variety of sports will help you meet your therapeutic goals!
